Bathroom vanity remodel with new tile floor and fresh paint

Flooring & Finish Carpentry

Floors That Stay Flat, Tight and Level

Almost every flooring complaint starts under the floor. We flatten and prep the subfloor first, then install so you do not get hollow spots, cracking grout, cupping planks or squeaks a year later.

Flooring we install

  • Tile — porcelain, ceramic and natural stone, including showers, patios and wet areas
  • Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) — the practical choice for Texas homes with pets, kids and humidity
  • Hardwood & engineered wood — nailed, stapled or floating as the material requires
  • Laminate — budget-conscious options with modern wear layers
  • Floor repair & replacement — water damage, cracked tile, lifted planks and failed transitions
  • Baseboards, shoe molding & trim — installed after the floor so nothing sits buried

Subfloor preparation matters

We check for moisture, deflection, flatness and damaged sheathing. Where a slab is out of tolerance we grind or flatten it. Where plywood is soft we replace it. It is unglamorous work that decides whether your floor still looks new in five years.

Transitions and thresholds are where flooring looks cheap. We plan them per doorway so tile meets wood or vinyl cleanly, at the right height, with proper expansion gaps.

Many of our remodels include flooring

If we are already renovating a kitchen or bathroom, adding flooring for the adjoining rooms is usually cheaper than a separate job later — the site is already protected, the trim is already off and the crew is already there.

Flooring & Finish Carpentry, answered

Luxury vinyl plank and porcelain tile handle humidity and heavy traffic best. Engineered hardwood performs better than solid hardwood in our climate when installed correctly.
